Face and Body began as a small one person business owned and operated by Margaret Walsh, in her home in Green Bay, Auckland 1988.
The shift to 298 Titirangi Road came in 1991 when Margaret sold her family home to allow her to invest in this commercial building. Margaret set out to create a well -respected, professional value for money salon with a focus on “Education” for staff and clients and to build a loyal clientele, and she has been successful in this.
In 2004 we applied for resource consent and we had a major refit that enabled us to employ up to 4 more staff in a greatly improved environment. We are now a business of 12 people with a Manager to run all in-house operations and Margaret Walsh provides marketing, financial and all HR staff employment support.
Prior to being a successful Salon as it is today, this cottage was a doctor’s surgery that belonged to Dr Mary Hamilton. She and her parents lived onsite.
This award -winning salon has been trading for 29 years, as of March 2020.The business is now proudly owned by Tracey Fell; as of April 2020 and Margaret Walsh has retired from Face & Body.
